The same question was asked repeatedly. The same documents were requested repeatedly. Information that was not relevant to the mortgage process was requested repeatedly. Mortgage officers involved seem to not to communicate with one another. With one month to take care of the process things should not be left to the last minute.

I am more dissatisfied with the VA Loan process than with Peter. The process to obtain information needs to be overhauled. There was plenty of information that was given out several times answering the same questions. The answers seemed to generate even more questions that were already answered. The verification process is too much for the customer and seems to run down to the last second. Too much nitpicking. I do not want to get any more loans any time soon after this experience.

Peter was fantastic and a great help for 2/3 of the process. However, not being notified in advance of the need for a second appraisal or that we needed to have the gas line hooked up caused us to pay $375 for an extension on our settlement with HUD. He did not inform us directly of the gas line problem, but rather told our agent who told us. Further, our title company informed us that the closing package was received at the last minute the night before our appointment.
