Signed up on Saturday night, called by lunch Sunday saying I didnt need it. Corporate call center was nice and said no worry, this is eligible for cancellation and refund. Its been 6 days and no response, no cancellation, no refund (I was told 3 days). They do not answer their phone, they dont check emails or voicemails. I want my cancellation and full refund..
I have been with prime storage since I moved into my apartment with my partner in November 2024. The starting price was less than 20 dollars and within 6 months to a year my payment went from $18-$56. This payment rising was also not advertised at all and I wasn’t told this until signing the papers. Then months later I got the upcharge. Be aware that Prime Storage is a business that will sell you on a competitive rate to get you in then they send you notices after about two or three months that they are having to raise rates (10-20%) to keep up with trends in the area. This will happen several times per year. Do the math. They give you the option to opt-out of your agreement but they know the burden of moving your stuff to another unit is worse than paying the increase. Prime has deceptive business practices and I would not recommend doing business with them--not to mention a rodent issue. The local one in ******* across fron Dairy Queen is where I stored my belongings. They do not tell you that your rate will continue to increase and according to the manager, they are told not to let customers know when initiating business. Beware! Once everything was moved in a month later, they raised my rent 52% I received an email one month before it was due.The door to the large loading dock is often broken, obviously minimizing convenience.There are rarely carts available to help move items. Warning: Do not rent from this location. My belongings were stolen while in their care and the staff have been unhelpful. We filed a police report and have involved a lawyer, yet the district manager has not returned our calls. If you value your property and responsive management, look elsewhere.
I referred a customer to ********************** in ******, ** and was told I would get an Amazon gift card. I was then told that I had to wait 3 full months in which I did. Deceptive pricing! They've raised their prices every 3-4 months! And they know customers might not be in a position to haul their belongings to fairer storage facility.
Was at this facility for over 10 years, over the last few years started having issues with numerous rent increases (80 to 190). My payments were through bill pay at my bank and went out almost a month early since they add late fees on the day after due date. On at least three occasions my bank verified the payments were sent but never deposited. No other payments went missing from any of the other payees I had.
