A very good basic label printer I got mine on sale for less than the cost of a couple of label cartridges. It replaces an older, more expensive label printer, and being a newer product it's better in every way. The editing software that comes with it is actually pretty good. The support from Brother is also quite good and the software is updated regularly. Brother hit one out of the park with this label maker. I don't need the network connectivity feature that is sported by the newer version of this label printer. USB connectivity works fine for me. The installation process, which took almost an hour, seemed a little herky-jerky at times, but I got through it with no problems. My Favorite P-Touch Label Maker To Date I've owned P-Touch label makers since 1996 and this is my favorite by far. When using authentic Brother Tze tapes, this unit communicates the tape size and color to Brother's P-Touch Editor software, so you really see an image of the final product. Even if using third party tapes (I've tried several), the tape color may not be communicated to the P-Touch Editor software, but the tape size is, so the tape size is always set correctly when creating a new label.
