Took my dog in for a simple x ray and waiting 45 minutes past my appointment time before someone came and spoke to me (emergencies understandable) all the nurses and vets were run off their feet because they were accepting everyone who came to the door so those who had appointments just had to wait till they had time to see you. RecommendedI just want to say a massive thank you to Quakers Hill Vet! Our cat Ollie got very sick in December just before Christmas last year. Quite suddenly we realised that she wasn’t eating, she was drinking more water than usual and a little bit lethargic. We took her to another vet that afternoon as they had availabilities open. We got told that we would have to give her 7 blood transfusions to keep her alive or in a few days we would have to say goodbye and put her down. We were in absolute shock as Ollie wasn’t even 1 yet. They are an absolute joke! WAY overpriced and couldn't care less for your pets! Just left my dog there in a cage. and kept taking the price up telling us he needs this and that while not giving him ANY of the care he needed but INSISTING we put him down and pay upto $6000. kept telling us he was aggressive which he was NOT!!! they took forever to get back to us and handled my dog so carelessly. Anyone could do anything with your fellow but touching his hindquarters, even to take his temperature, caused him to guard himself and he actually bit a staff member. We only mentioned this in the assessment of his pain management and his welfare in the likelihood that surgery was not possible. We deeply feel for your loss. katie, do you not think i have tried an after hours vet when I called you that my dog has been in pain since the early hours of the morning. No one returned my call hence why I called your veterinary .
Absolute joke don’t go there After using this vet for 10years I will no longer recommend or use them again
This recommendation is based solely on my experience here on the weekend. I seen a vet there on Saturday with my much loved family dog Bella and sadly made the decision for her to be euthanized. The vet made an appointment for us for 1.30pm the following day which was sunday. I attended the clinic at 1.20 pm on sunday and was taken directly into one of the rooms. The nurse then took Bella and brought her back into the room to me with an IV and syringe bandaged to her leg. I was then told that the vet wouldn't be long. I ... read more
