First things first, Scott McCabe is the best! If you're seeking a loan specialist/ advisor, look no further.
I learned of RealMortgage through eRate as I was researching rates to refinance my home mortgage to a 15-year fixed. Scott McCabe called me promptly within hours of completing their online inquiry form. He confirmed my personal details and asked a few additional questions before offering a verbal estimate, which was competitive. Scott immediately followed up with a written estimate by email and a list of deliverables to get the process started. RealMortgage uses Dropbox to facilitate secure upload of personal and financial documents, including DocuSign to obtain electronic authorizations. Effective use of productivity tools! Furthermore, I can't emphasize how grateful I am not completing forms. RealMortgage takes care of the all the formalities, including providing prepaid FedEx envelopes.
Due to no fault of RealMortgage, we were not in a position to close until my existing equity line was subordinated. Unfortunately, even after Scott generously extended my rate lock, Wells Fargo was far too backlogged that we needed to reconsider all our options. Besides extending the rate again, which still may not coincide with subordination, Scott suggested moving to another lender. Fortunately the timing was perfect as he was able to offer an even better rate! To minimize the impact for me having to begin another application from scratch, Scott provided as many of my originally provided documents to the new lender.
Beginning on January 6, my refinance journey with RealMortgage and Scott McCabe is probably longer than most. In spite of the unexpected duration I'd willingly do it again. Scott always kept me in the loop on my application with regular updates. His email messages are also clear and concise. Scott also collaborated closely with the Title company to ensure a smooth transition.
I never had any doubt my application was in good hands. I believe Scott truly cares deeply about others and his work.
