Redeye Grill, perched across from Carnegie Hall, is a restaurant that knows exactly who it's targeting. Tourists snapping photos before curtain call, business diners in for a corporate lunch, theatergoers looking for a convenient bite. If you don't fall into one of those categories, you may wonder why you're even here. The room itself has undeniable polish: plush banquettes, polished brass, and on weekends, live music that brings a gentle warmth to the space. It's easy to imagine why tourists find it appealing, it looks and... read more

Business response:

Jake, Thank you for sharing your thoughtful feedback. While I’m glad you enjoyed the atmosphere and live music, I’m truly sorry to hear that the service and food did not leave a stronger impression. Forgotten dishes, inattentive responses from a server, and food that doesn’t meet expectations fall short of the standards we set at Redeye Grill. We value your perspective and will be sharing your comments with our team so that we can focus on improving both attentiveness and the consistency of our dishes. We hope you might co... read more

We just arrived in NYC late and needed a place for appetizers/soup/and an entry to share. This place hit the spot plus had a great piano bar on a Friday night! Enjoy

Restaurant Week menu, 3 course $60. Shrimp cocktail, seared halibut followed by strawberries. Very good. 4 stars is pushing it with respect to food quality but ambiance compensates for slightly overcooked fish.

Business response:

Hi, Danica. We appreciate the kind words and are glad we could provide you with a positive experience!

Great food, adequate service. This was the first time we didn't feel like we mattered as customers. Sorry (not sorry) if being there was a bother to our server (blonde with tattoos). It's my associate's birthday! "mmmm... happy birthday then" in a muttered, muffled tone. We had the prix fixe menu for restaurant week. Starting with an additional sushi roll (which was tasty) we each had the house salad - a complex mix of lettuce, cheese, candied walnuts, and more. Then we each had the salmon, cooked perfectly with a sear on ... read more

October 7th 2024 wife and I walked from our nearby West 57th Street timeshare to the red eye grill. Huge place although largely empty for lunch on Monday. Great ambiance with white tablecloths napkins and decent silverware .uniform waiters. Wife's miso glazed black COd cooked tender flaky and delicious over cooked spinach and mushrooms.$47 but that's on par with what we paid at Roy's in Hawaii. Serving size about 5 oz . Not for somebody who is hungry. My $44 lobster roll came with a roll of bread with the body of a lobs... read more

Great service from Sarah, nice place and air conditioned after a crappy top view bus ride. Colossal Fried Coconut shrimp (with head) was great, tasty and recommended. But was nice quite "colossal" after head was twisted off. Recommend 12 of them for 2 people. Greek salad was great. Cocktails are wonderful, especially the espresso martini!

Business response:

Hi, Joe. Thanks for taking the time to share your positive experience. We truly appreciate it!
