I shop at Renfroe's Market often, particularly for meat and produce. The prices are outstanding, but, more importantly, the quality is top notch on the meats. Every employee I've had any contact with has been friendly, professional, and helpful. They don't just tell you where something is, for example -- they take you to the product! Also, when I ask about how to cook foods from the butcher shop that they've prepared, I get a straight answer. Very nice in every way. Great grocery store that never makes you stand long in a check out line. Good selection, clean, and friendly. Great beer selection that has lots of local craft brew. Easy stop for all my weekend supplies.

I don't usually write a review about a grocery store but this one was worth it. I heard plenty of good things from friends and family about this place but went in with low expectations after all it's just a grocery store. I immediately noticed how clean and spacious it seemed. The first thing I did was head to the meat department. It did not disappoint. I was so impressed the cuts were just right and the price was better. Produce and meat prices are consistently MUCH lower than Winn Dixie and Publix. Bread and eggs are also a better price. If you want to go to one store and get the overall lowest prices, this is the best grocery to go to in Montgomery!

When the Renfroe's on Chantilly first opened they were friendly and helpful. Now they are curt, verging on rude, not at all helpful, and more expensive than Publix or Walmart. It's all about management and apparently they don't have any. Another Montgomery business headed down the drain.

Renfroe's in Lafayette, Alabama The store is clean and things are easy to find. The only problem is the employees at the checkout counters were standing around and talking and carrying on and not paying attention to the customer. I finally had to ask the cashier to please check me out. I managed a Piggly Wiggly store for years and would not put up with the cashiers and sack boys having their own private conversations and not paying attention to the customer when they came up to the counter. Yesterday 12/30/18 the wife and I went to Renfroe's. I have always been impressed by this store but today is not one to be impressed over. I love Cumber Salad and this day I brought lb of the worst tasting salad I have ever had. Cut in chunks rater than sliced, few onions dressing tasteless. I thought this was an exception until I tried my Watermelon purchase. In a word slime, sell by date indicated 3rd oh Jan, the mistake should have been 3rd Dec. Dear Ones, I have made no peace with institutional bad behavior . Nowadays there are so many instances of institutional abuses --dishonesty, hypocrisy, bigotry and cruelty--Sometimes, it's the little things. Something as little as a 2/12 ounce thumb-sized piece of chicken that is a marker of a greater institutional dishonesty.
