After being in pain pain for five days, I was finally diagnosed with Appendicitis. Within one hour, I was in the ER at Medical Center of Denton preparing for emergency surgery. Dr. Connaughton walked in and introduced himself to me and I was pleasantly surprised. He was very kind, compassionate, caring and explained my condition and what he would be doing. He took his time and answerd our questions. He could see I was nervous as I began to cry and he took my hand and assured me all would be ok.
Very professional Doctor. answers all your questions and concerns you may have, also his staff is friendly and helpful.
Needed surgery and Dr Connaughton explained in detail what would happen during surgery and the effects after recovery. Dr & staff very attentive and professional. Would definitely recommend.

The Dr. makes you feel comfortable and eases your concerns. He is honest and upfront with you as his patient. He shows he cares and that he chose his profession to help others. I was referred to him by my mother and I highly recommend Dr. Connaughton.
Dr. Connaughton is an excellent surgeon with a bedside manner to match his skill.
Dr. Connaughton always explains everything that is happening and what to expect from the surgery. I never feel rushed. He is very friendly and warm. I have the greatest faith in him after having had 4 surgeries. My only complaint is when I call to set up an appointment, she is very curt and it seems like she is being bothered by my call. The nurses or assistants in the back office are excellent.
My first visit to the Dr. left me feeling very comfortable with choosing him for my Dr. He was very personable and friendly and answered my questions. He preformed a minor surgery on me ( if being cut on is minor) and did a super job. I had no bleeding and healing fast. Very happy with my choice and highly recommend him.
Besides being an excellent surgeon (vascular and general) he has a great "bedside" manner, and takes time with his patients to hear them out, not showing any evidence of hurry. I highly recommend Dr. Connaughton...he has done several surgeries on me and to my complete satisfaction!!
