I was invited to Rocky Fork for 3 days of camping to review the resort for possible purchase of one of their plans. Reservations were made a week in advance and they called me a day prior to my arrival to ensure I was still coming. Upon arrival, they acted like they did not know we were to be there and stated all camp sites were taken. After about 1/2 hour, they came up with a site and we were escorted there. Been a member since 2004 and never had much of a problem that couldn't be doubt with!
This is the biggest rip-off we have ever seen. We have been members of this place for 20 years or more and have dumped thousands of dollars into it for pretty much nothing. Have to keep pay maintenance fees all the time and then can't afford to stay there. And there is no way to get rid of it. We can't find a sucker to buy it or even take it for free. 8 grand down the drain..toured the cabins loved it bout it now when trying to use it its a joke... can not get anyone to answer the phone or return a call. Sent a message on facebook and got a fake apology. Then 2 days later got a call back.. now they want more money to make a reservation for a cabin.. was told the membership only covers camp site... soo not what we were told.. we were even asked if we owned a camper and we said no and was told thats alright because the cabins were part of the membership. . If I could give a lower rating I would. A water pipe breaks underneath our property there during the period of -60 degree weather, they fixed it and now expect us to pay over a grand for the new water pipe. Then had the audacity to rob us of our membership which we had for 10 years until we pay.
