I have had Dogs all of my life. I have taken them to obediance training and have been (I thought) sucessful, untill I got Bella. The first time I took her , at 6 mo. old, to the Vet, she bit a lady passing by when I was paying my bill. My Vet wanted to put her on tranqulizers. OH NO.. I wont do that. She is a very high energy and driven dog so I knew I was over my head with this one. I got Russells K9 phone number and told Albert what was going on. We made an appointment and her first lesson was healing. Albert did it in 10 min. IMPRESSED? Sure was. He then had me do what he did and it was better but I had to learn to be the alfa. He spent time with me about how a dogs brain works and Pack dogs. We had 4 weeks of lessons and I was on my way to sucess. A year later, I called Him again. Now we are working off leash, I am learning more and more. Most of the problem was me and lack of knowledge of High driven dogs. Albert loves her drive and said she would make a great Police K9. I decided to have Albert to help me to train her for a protection Dog. Boy I am continuing to learn.
Her last visit to the Vet , Bella was such a good girl. The Vet even comented of how polite she was as Bella sat and waited for us to go out the door first. She said "I wish all my clients behaved like this". I laughed and reminded her of the first visit! She had forgoten this was the same dog. HATS OFF TO MY TRAINER! He is very well versed and can produce an awsome Dog as he also traches us.
Thank you Albert Russsell for taking so much time explaining things to me.
