I had a great experience here buying an acoustic guitar as a gift for a beginner. Mark was extremely knowledgeable and helped me find the perfect guitar that would be easy to play, smaller in size, stay in tune and sound good. He really listened to what different things I was looking for, and had the knowledge and care to recommend the perfect thing. He even steered me in a better direction than I was originally thinking without ever being pushy in the least. I highly recommend talking to Mark Chulick at this location.
The repair man Sal helped me with a Semi-hollow guitar that needed to be rewired. The price he gave me was more than $150 cheaper than what I was quoted at Guitar Center and other 2 guitar shops in the valley. He literally had all the spare parts it needed right there and I could tell he was by far the most experienced luthier of all the guys I had dealt with. I can't praise him enough and I highly recommend to everyone to take your instrument to him BEFORE YOU GO ANYWHERE ELSE!
I have had such a great experience with the staff at the Hollywood store - thanks Matt, Harvey, and Jose - and with customer service - Mike Friedman and Amber - that I will never go to another guitar store without checking with them first. My daughter wanted a new guitar and has saved her money. We went to other guitar stores and found the service to be no more than handing you the guitar and then putting it back. Sam Ash was different. Mark C. was amazing. He helped us greatly and took his time to make sure we understood as much as possible about the different guitars and amps. Really chose this store because of Mark C.'s help. Highly recommend them.
I was amazed at the amount of inventory given the size of this store! I’ve stopped by for parts, pieces and connection hardware, though also became interested in their gear. There’s a nice selection of soundboards, keyboards, and midi systems! They even have a wind instrument room! A large assortment of connection cables, adapters and accessories are available.
