Visited from out of state and was pleased this location is just off the interstate. Sam Ash is known for a superior guitar selection and this one in Charlotte is no exception! Wonderful staff and management - and exceptionally helpful. Walked away with the Michael Kelly hybrid we were looking for and at a great price! Well worth the 3 hour trip - kudos to everyone at Sam Ash in Charlotte, NC!
Sam Ash is the only place to get your guitar worked on. Guitar tech Dakota hooked me up with a new set of Seymour Duncan’s, some polish, and a new set of strings. He is super knowledgeable and even took time to walk me through everything he did. He had my guitar finished in less than 48 hours and it absolutely rips. I highly recommend stopping by and checking out the shop. Sam Ash has everything any musician could possibly need and is staffed with a friendly and helpful team.
Great service, and conversation. These guys are great, OK to play guitars, plug up, everything. It's not unusual to spend hours. Prices seem very fair, and they will work with you on credit, or trade. They will buy your old equipment.

I recently got back into guitar and went to see if Sam Ash was still open… they are, where Mars was before them. After all these years they may even have a larger selection than they did 20 years ago in the Charlotte location and all the employees I talked with were really nice and helpful the three times I’ve been in the last couple months. What a treat to have such a great music store in Charlotte… some of the guitar stuff I used to buy is still in the same spot in the building! it’s a staple of the city…
