I am a total guitar novice, but have long wanted to learn to play. I decided to jump in given my young children’s strong interest in playing music. A few guitars ended up on my shortlist after my research, and the Sam Ash near me happened to have a used model of one of them in stock. The folks at Sam Ash are AMAZING! They put in a lot of hours on my 67 Gibson LGO to make it sound and look great. It’s been in my family for three generations and I couldn’t be more proud to (eventually) pass it down to my son. The entire staff is so friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to assist. I’ve been coming here for many years, and cannot speak highly enough about them.

I was greeted and helped by Lizzy who smiled and was happy to show me around the guitar department. I expressed my interest in a certain style guitar amp.. which she took time to show me. I came back 2 different times and she stopped what she was doing and walked around the department discussing the different amplifier brands. I then decided we had talked enough and then purchased my new Fender Twin Amp. Thank you Lizzy!! I love Sam Ash because it's a chain store that feels like a local, "mom and pop" place. The store has a great selection of merchandise, both new and used. The service is terrific - everyone there is friendly and knowledgeable. I went with my son to buy a guitar and the person who helped us made certain we had everything we needed to make a decision - he took guitars down off the wall, gave my son a cable to plug into an amp and try out multiple models, answered our questions, and shared his own perspective on the guitars. I go into Sam Ash when I need new equipment, and I always look for Austin. He makes my day, because he's very knowledgeable about what's asked of him, if he doesn't know the answer, he'll look it up, he's always smiling, always laughing, very nice, very friendly, and super easy to get along with. He makes the instrument shopping experience enjoyable because he makes you feel good about yourself.
