I trust Dr. Shommer. His assistant was kind, knowledgeable and helpful. Dr. Shommer explains procedures in an understanding way. He allows the patient to show discomfort, and does what is possible to relieve distress.
I had a dental emergency - serious infection with pain and swelling. I also have severe anxiety/fear of dentists. They not only fit me into the schedule within a couple hours, but were able to do the extraction the same day. Everyone in the office from the front staff to the nurses to the dentist were wonderful and understanding of my fears. Tech was very complete in the teeth cleaning performed.
He is wonderful and I don’t have rubbing on my gums from my partial plate. I just have to rinse with salt water to help because I waited too long to come in.

The procedure on my teeth was great! They feel good and there was very little discomfort. However, I always feel you’re a little rushed which could be in a busy office. But there’s very little personal interaction with the Dr.
My hygienist Karen is amazing, she is personable and great at what she does. She always makes me feel comfortable and remembers conversations we have only every 6 months together. Dr. Clay also is amazing and explains what’s going on with my teeth in a way I can understand. Front office staff is also amazing. They all actually care and make you feel comfortable.
