I have been using Schweiger Dermatology for years in the Deer Park location and never a problem. I recently switched to the Amityville location and the customer service is HORRIBLE! Impossible to get in touch with them even before Covid to make appt, and when i did it was a new call center and they had no idea what they were doing. That took 2-3 calls i believe. Their appointment scheduling is an absolute mess they must triple book time slots because everytime i have gone i have waited AT LEAST a hour and a half! I have even walked out after 2 hours of waiting. It is insane to have to wait that long especially when my actual appointment only last 5min. Its such a shame because the office is very clean and organized and tech savy and the drs are very nice and professional... just wish they got the scheduling problem fixed.
Zero bedside manner. Made an appointment to see a doctor and they stuck me with the P.A. (physician's assistant) who had no bedside manner and spent less than 2 minutes with me. Never heard back from them, months and months went by. Until.....I got a certified letter almost a year later informing me that I had skin cancer. Lovely way to find out something so devastating. They book multiple appoointments for each time slot. They want to double and triple book every ten minutes knowing full well there is zero chance the Drs will be ready at that time. They make you wait 45-60 mins every single time. First in the waiting room and then inside the room. The female manager told me I'm not special and if I can't wait I should make the appointment at a time I CAN wait. Will never go back.

You'd think that after 4 visits three procedures someone would be competent enough to recognize squamous cell cancer and refer me to a qualified medical facility .. but.. Nooooo after bringing me back in for four follow ups and milking me like a cow they've missed a serious diagnosis because of greed ..now my family and I are preparing to suffer through cancer treatments .. this is shameful ..stay clear of this facility if your looking to heal .. they're only interested in banging your Insurence .. billing sure knows who I a... read more

They are just an operation for money. No bedside manor. Asking for outrageous copayments before they would provide care. If you want to get ripped off before even getting seen. Then I would recommend you coming here. If you want to get better care go elsewhere.
I had an appointment with Dr. Dolitsky for my acne and I was very disappointed. First of all, she is very condescending when she's talking to you as if she knows more about your skin than you do. She came into the room, looked at my skin for less than a minute, said the names of all the prescriptions she was prescribing me, and left the room. They get one star for the cleanliness and quick waiting room wait. I went in for a rash saw a lovely PA who said she was going to send a script in for a topical steroid that the insurance may not cover but to call the office if i couldn't get it. The pharmacy tried to charge me $300, which i did not pay. I called the office the very next day to get a new prescription and left a message (mind you I'm still itchy, and it's spreading) no call back the entire day.
