Sean kept his promise for me to move to my new home a day after I sold my other home. I'm sure KB homes is very pleased to have Sean Patterson in their team. I also thanked all of Sean's associates for working so hard in making all the process go smoothly and quickly and I'm sure I'm not the only client who thanked highly of Sean Patterson.

I felt rushed through the closing process and I was told this was because of the number of loans KB Loans was handling. I was asked for every bit of information possible to prove over and over that I had the down payment and an income despite the fact that I was made to have a co-signer. There was a general lack of communication for why this information was needed, just pressure. I never received the original loan application in July 2022. 1. If Sean hadn't lied about when I could lock my rate. 2. If, when the (false) time came to lock the rate, he was available, accountable, and didn't continue to lie. 3. Tell people the truth and let them determine what they want to do.

Sean was not very clear in his explanations, he wasn't very patient and I had to reach out to him with statuses especially near the end of the transaction. I feel as my loan officer, he should have been reaching out to me. When I requested a rate lock, he delayed in returning my calls which caused me to lock my rate higher than it would have been if he was more responsive. I wanted to lock in my rate earlier and was willing to pay for it.Sean keep delaying and saying not yet and we ended locking in much later. It cost me interest points. And I had to buy points back. In all when the customer wants to lock a rate in early they should be given the option not told I think next will be better and then next week comes and so and so on. That almost cost me to walk away from the entire deal.

Closing was a complete disaster. I was under the impression that because the lender was the same as the builder that there was some communication between the superintendent and the loan officer but this did not seem to be the case. The superintendent told us that we were pretty much guaranteed to close if we came in early enough for our final walkthrough and our loan officer seemed to have no knowledge of this. Clear understanding of information - financial required rather than pure guess work. Requests kept changing without proper review by underwriter. Untimely appraisals resulting in closing issues. Lack of communication between sales, mortgage officer, underwriter and Title company.

My wife and I are a team. The divided communication started things off on the wrong foot. We also feel like there was unnecessary pressure throughout the process that was not warranted. It felt like there was some numbers goals internal to KB that were driving the repeated calls during times that we communicated that we were unavailable. This is all in the context that the home took longer than we thought it would take to complete.
