PRE APPROVAL-My pre-approval was missing some income. If it had been corrected, it would have saved hrs of document producing for us. But was told that was not an option, as it would take more time for your admin staff. Even hrs before closing, was still being asked to substantiate income... super stressful! We did not appreciate having to sign a preliminary closing document that included escrow amounts AND the preliminary closing document showed one amount to be paid back to us THEN the real close out paperwork shows a smaller amount paid back to us. We are not sure what the preliminary closing document was for since it did not accurately represent the final document. If we were to do this again, we would totally balk on closing and make sure the preliminary closing document matched the final document.

Early gaps in communication. Even after closing cost credits the overall closing costs were more than my initial estimate. Due to the length of the process had to have credit pulled twice and some financials also required a second submission. First closing disclosure listed expenses I had already paid even though I had previously brought it to the attention of the team. Didn't get updated (corrected) closing docs until I requested which was mere hours before my right of rescission passed.
