I had a disappointing experience at SEV Laser Uptown. The main issue happened after my bikini line treatment — I developed a large, discomforting welt near my anus that still hasn’t gone away. After doing some research, I found that this kind of reaction can happen if the laser technician goes too close to that sensitive area, which I believe happened in my case. During my recent appointment, I told the laser technician that just for this particular session, I cannot do my Brazilian and I asked if she can do my happy trail instead (My underarm treatment remained the same so that's what I got). She said she can make the switch with no issues, and proceeded to complete my session. I got to the front desk to checkout; only for them to tell me that I had to pay for the switch out of pocket as it was not a part of my purchased package. I’ve had my appointment cancelled on me twice after driving there (an hour away from home) two times. Both times I’ve been told “the tech I’ve been scheduled with is unable to come in” with absolutely no notice. They’ve sent me out without any service and promised me I’ll be contacted by management. Their customer service appears outsourced and entirely unhelpful.

The customer service rep that helped me schedule my appointment laughed at my hyphenated last name when I spelled it out. Super rude. Unfortunate I already bought the package. Spend your money elsewhere

The wait time to have your appointment is two months at the earliest. Seems like they have over sold and I wish I would have know to go somewhere else.

I purchased the 6 treatment package to use for my lower legs. I have blonde hair on my legs, and I had went to nearly all of my appointments before I had a technician that told me that their laser wouldn’t work on blonde hair (aka I should’ve been told I was a non-candidate and offered a refund during my consult at my first appointment, but that did not occur) It’s really unfortunate with how costly this is.

The staff was very welcoming and the office was impecable. The laser itself was a HUGE let down. In the past I have gone to get laser hair removal for ingrowns and then hair falls out after one treatment. It usually doesn’t start to grow back until right before the next treatment 5-6 weeks. The only downfall is the pain. With SEV there was no pain but after two treatment I saw O (ZERO) change.
