Fabulous start to finish. We dined on the patio; slightly cool but quite pleasant. The service was excellent; good humor, very attentive with no pressure. Food was exceptional. We had Calamari, Blackened Snapper (special), and Salmon, followed by key lime pie. Not a single issue. Will return.
Never had a bad meal at Ela's on the Water. Everyone loved their food. I don't know what they do to the grits, but they are amazing. Only small issue... the servers could have been a little friendlier.
We love Ela’s and go there with some regularity. We sat upstairs for the first time in quite a while. Not sure if it was the people around us or the noise from downstairs rising but it was noisier than usual. Also one of the members in our party has some difficulty doing stairs and there is no elevator to the upstairs (there is one that goes from the marginal to the 1st floor of Ela’s but it does not go to the 2nd floor) and the restrooms are on the first floor. Another great evening @ Ela’s. Karens service was outstanding as always. The menu is varied and well executed. We both enjoyed the pan seared grouper. Yummy.
ELA’s is a must every time we come to the island. Great food and the service is unmatched. Can’t wait to go back next visit.

Food and service was good but upstairs seating and acoustics were horrible - too loud - we heard everyone else’s conversations
Wonderful ambiance and food! We sat outside- it was chilly that evening- but they had heaters which made it comfortable. Lovely view of the inlet with live music. Great service. Our apps (crab stack, lobster bisque) , dinner (Fish special, seafood scampi bucatini) and dessert (chocolate peanut butter pie) was all delicious! We would return.
Great waterfront vibe. Heaters outside made it very comfortable. Our waitress seemed kind of unhappy to be serving us, but was attentive so that’s good! Oysters had no sea water left in them, which we love. Main dishes were yummy.
