Excellent food, service, and ambience. There was a shortage of help due to the mandatory evacuation in effect for Hurricane Florence, but the service was excellent and the servers worked like a well-practiced team. We had a wonderful dinner.
We came for my wife's birthday, and even though I reminded them 3 times (in the reservation, when they called to confirm, and secretly when we got there), they still forgot. Waitress really didn't seem to care, and when I brought it to their attention at the end of the night, nothing really happened. Had a great meal outside at Ela’s. Excellent wine list. 5 huge shrimp in the shrimp cocktail. Fried oysters were a special appetizer and very good. Main courses of Grouper and Diver Scallops were to die for. Wonderful service from Carla. Highly recommend Ela’s!
Ambience and music fantastic. Food was good while service was minimally ok. Stayed for drinks and live music at the bar which saved the evening. Whole different level of service there and music was great.
We enjoyed our time at Ela's. Sat on the porch with a lovely view of the water. We both had the Flounder. The fish was terrific, prepared perfectly. Shared a Wedge salad that was great. The rice pilaf served with the Flounder was disappointing, so dry and overdone it was not edible. On the other hand, the green beans were tasty. Our first time with out of town friends and it was a big hit with them and we loved it too.
Great restaurant which must be the best in area. From being welcomed at door to leaving had a great experience.

Lovely ambience. Live keyboard player inside. Balcony patio seating is very nice. Friendly staff.
