One of the best locations on Hilton Head and the food and service are excellent. Outdoor dining available, but the indoors is quiet and comfortable with a good view from most tables. Limited selections - mostly seafood - but excellent technique and flavors. Great restaurant and worth the little extra cost. Limited seating and around the back for location so call and get directions and reservation.
The oysters and fried green tomatoes were fabulous. We wished the crabcakes had been lump crab but they were still tasty. We will definitely be back.
Great atmosphere, food and service....make sure to reserve ahead for outside seating...
We absolutely love this place! Its a family owned restaurant and the family members are always there working and interacting with everyone...You can tell that they pay attention to detail and make sure everyone leaves happy...We strongly recommend this restaurant and love that they have joined our little community here on hilton head! p.s.-The food is unreal
Two problems marred an otherwise excellent dinning experience. The music that is played, supposedly in the background, was too loud and interfered with making conversation. Even after a request to lower the sound, it returned to an annoying level. Why don't good retaurants like this use as much care in picking better music (classical) and even more important ensure that it is INDEED background music. Overall dinning experience was amazing...Went with a group of four and were so pleased with everything, we ended up staying well throughout the night and finished the evening in the bar. The ambiance is so comfortable, we didn't want to leave this beautiful restaurant. The food was amazing, I had the swordfish, and was stunned at how perfectly prepared it was. All of us ended up having a 4 course dinner, including wine, and still wanted more. Very cool place, glad there is something like this on the island. Highly recommend!
The restaurant itself is quite pretty inside but the view of Shelter Cove is fantastic at night. Food was fine but wine by the glass a bit limited. The noise level was good until the entertainment started...not too loud but loud enough that we had to lean in to catch all of the conversation. We'll definitely go back and try lunch or brunch
This used to be the Ocean Grille which was a favorite spot when on the island. The food quality is not equal to the Ocean Grille. The table service was poorly coordinated relative to the ordered food. For example the side dishes can a few minutes after the entree and had to remind them of the problem. We requested getting the food after we finished our drinks but the food came during the time we had hoped to enjoy our beverage
