Expensive but worth it. Great place for an upscale dinner. We went with another couple and enjoyed everything we ordered.
Food was great, service was OK. Our server didn’t seem like she could care less that we were there. Food was hot and tasty, but the server made it a less enjoyable experience. Table on the second floor, temperature was definitely warm and you sweat while you ate. Would go back again and ask for different server and table on the first floor
Food was just Ok. Crab cakes were good, not great. Wife said steak was ok, not great. Rice was probably from a box, tasted like uncle bens or something. Green beans were under cooked. Server seemed like she was just going through the motions, but she was ok. Not friendly, just professional.
The food was very good and our waiter was very personable and lovely. The restaurant itself needs to be update and poorly showing it’s age. Upscale dining should have upscale furnishings and decor - it felt a little dirty. Probably wouldn’t eat here again.
Server was a little busy and refills were hard to come by
ELA’S is a lovely place and a great location. Beautiful views of the harbor. I had the shrimp cocktail and the scampi. The shrimp were great but they serve it on top of a bed of greens and peppers with barely a teaspoon of cocktail sauce. I had to ask for more sauce - which is fabulous. The scampi is wonderful. My husband had the caprese salad app, the gumbo app and the crab cake app. The gumbo app was 95% broth. They kindly took it off our bill. Drinks were great; nice wine list. Ryan was are waitress and she is at the top of her game! Food quantity is presented beautifully and tasty! I asked for a window seat for husband and I -birthday celebration! Ryan even discretely presented me with a sleeve of birthday cake complete with a lit candle! We will definitely be back!
Have eaten @ Ela’s many times and it was always been a great experience. This year however two of our entrees (of 4), both the same dish (grilled flounder) were a disappointment. The fish was so dry and over-cooked, it was difficult to eat.
