Dr. Tysch is the best doctor my boys have had in California. She found my son had asthma,and that my other son has bad allergies. She has always told me to call her anytime I needed.(weekends,nights, anytime) We had to move and was very sad to leave. Her staff is excellent! Always on time. She knows and remembers who your family is. Excellent doctor! Very caring. You have the same nurses! There are only two. The office is very kid friendly. My boys loved her. She is wonderful!! She has even met us on a Sunday when my son was really sick. She bends over backwards for her patients.
Dr. Tysch is just the best pediatrician. We have seen her for years and followed her when she opened her new practice. When another doctor failed to detect the purpose of a rash with our son, she was very proactive and thorough. We went through a battery of tests with him and thankfully it wasn't a rare heart condition, but all the signs were there and it was a scary time. She has a great bedside manner and trusts the parents' instincts as well as her own. There is a true partnership in the relatioship. We love her!
Dr. Tysch is conservative but really cares about her clients. The staff in her office are professional and have great bedside manner. Dr. Tysch also handles emergencies and critical care with an excellent manner including making sure the parents understand the situation and their options. She can be a bit rough but this is only because she wants what is best for the children. She will always be upfront and honest with you about any issue with your child.
Dr. Tysch is a wonderful pediatrician, especially for parents who are educated and want to talk through the pro's and con's of different medical decisions: vaccines, newborn procedures, etc. She always returns our phone calls promptly -- even on weekends and evenings when we've had emergency situations. Her staff is friendly and competent, especially Nurse Sue, who somehow makes shots much less painful than the other nurses.
New office is horrible (She is HMO now). Can't get appointments same day - she's not on call. Other physicians covering her are not pediatricians. Changing pediatricians today!
Don't go here if you are HMO!!! Dr. Tysch doesn't support her HMO and criticizes them and makes us patients feel bad and low class for even having an HMO. Which to me, is odd, since she herself is an HMO provider. If it wasn't for her staff, and the front office woman who does the referrals to the specialists, I am not sure sure I would continue to go here.
Dr.Sherri Tysch is ok - I probably will not go back with my 2 sons and a daughter. I felt Dr. Tysch pushed flu shots on my family for no specific reason (we did NOT end up getting them). My kids have no health problems and are ages 3 years through 10 years and I did not see any reason to get them for the kids, but I felt that Dr. Tysch were "selling" them. I also didn't like it when Dr. Tysch said to me that my insurance wasn't good because it was HMO. I love my insurance and I am glad there are other HMO pediatricians to ch... read more
Dr. Tysch showed time and time again that she wanted my money more than she wanted to help my children. After checking my daughters small rash I mentioned that my 8 month old (sitting in my lap at the time) had a bump that looked similar to the rash on her sister. Dr. Tysch walked over, glanced at her neck where the bump was, advised me to put neosporin on the bump and come back if it gets any worse and then charged me for two visits!
