I recently had two ultrasound exams at SimonMed Imaging. The overall experience was good, but I was surprised that they required upfront payment even though I have insurance. Their process involves collecting payment first, submitting the claim to insurance, and later refunding or billing patients for any difference. Since claims can be delayed, this makes patients wait longer for resolution, which I find inconvenient. Irvine office was VERY nice and respectful. They helped me through my appointment. The gentleman that did the MRI on me was absolutely wonderful. Very helpful and patient. He understood my claustrophobia and helped me get through the MRI. I really appreciate him being the way he was. Would definitely recommend this place.
The team at the Irvine location really showed they cared. I was frustrated when I arrived with my prior attempts at another location to get X-rays done. (wait was too long or the tech was not in several times) Not only did the girl at the front get me in when I arrived close to lunch, the X-ray tech took a late lunch to get me in and out quickly. I really appreciated their kindness and efficiency.
I had not been aware of the presence of this imaging location in town, and truthfully was a little leery after reading their online reviews elsewhere. I was surprised by the minimal wait, pleasant and accommodating front desk experience, and how professional and engaging the technologist, Vincent, was.
