Dr. McElroy is great. He is very thorough. Everyone there is friendly and respectful. Maddey is great. She knows I hate needles, she made me comfortable during the procedure. The place is spotless and clean. I will recommend this place to all my friends and acquaintances. I love Smiles by Design
My first visit. I spoke with a patient who had been very pleased with Sr McElroy for 25+ years. Good sign! The staff is professional and very very friendly. I was so pleased by the ultra service I received. My initial assessment revealed several important problems. This was our first experience with Tiffany, who cleaned our teeth. She did an excellent job!
Chipped one of my crowns. My regular dentist, "Dr Mac", was very busy so his son made the repair. Dr. McElroy (as he is formally known) has deft, competent hands. I am delighted with the result. The repaired crown feels better than it did before it chipped! He did a great job.

I’ve been a patient at McElroy’s Smiles by Design for more than 3 years. They are such a great practice that I’m keeping them as my dentists even though I’m relocating back to the Bay Area from Carlsbad. Recently my regular dental hygienist moved on and I had my first cleaning this week with Tiffany, my new hygienist. Great teeth cleaning with Sean. Explained everything that was going to be done. Massage and heated chairs if you are the nervous type. Very nice experience.
