If I wanted an Ethernet cable added to my house or wanted a little extra upgrade, because my house (base model) could not be modified in any other way even if I wanted to spend the extra money. Smith Douglas was easy to work with and helped lay out options well. I would recommend them to others.
When I got the place, it was nice, and they did a good job. The only issues that I had were more on the subcontractors work with the doors not latching and the paint job. I think Smith Douglas Homes could vet their subcontractors more deeply to make sure that they are doing what they are supposed to with the homes.
Jim and Kathy were instrumental in making the process of building our home a smooth and positive experience from start to finish. Be more transparent about HOA
We worked remotely with Smith Douglas Homes from Phenix City, Alabama. My brother served as my advocate here in Broadway.
I absolutely loved working with Lara. She made my buying experience easier. However, I would not recommend a Smith Douglas home only because the builder does not sod the entire back yard. Paying $10K for a lot premium and not having the entire back yard sodded is not acceptable. Especially when you must pay a lot premium. On top of that, with all the heavy rain we experienced, all the grass seeds and straw washed away - leaving my back yard muddy.
