I had particular concerns about my mechanical heart valve and the special attention that would need during an MRI. The staff was really great at accommodating these needs, from intake to the professionals doing the actual procedure. They talked me through the MRI while it was being performed. This alleviated my concerns about safety, since I had some metal inside my body. The staff explained what to expect with my artificial hip as well, telling me to expect a little warmth in that area and that it is normal.
