I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident I have my brother here and he has been here several years. The place is fine and a lot of nice people. I used to call and no one would ever return my calls. They went through a lot of head nurses but there has been a new lady Denice who I have been speaking with about my brother. I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident My father in law is end stage Parkinson’s. He needed skilled care nursing. He was a handful when it comes to care- wheelchair bound that quickly graduated to reclining wheelchair bound. Needed to be fed, dressed, turned, oral care, depends, occasional meds so he didn’t hurt himself or others...he was a handful and I get that. Family visited daily. I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident The staff at South Suburban Rehab Center was nice, but they're understaffed. The appearance was so sterile and almost prison like. My father wasn't that happy there. We were doing his laundry, but his clothes always came up missing. The rooms were decent sized, but they didn't have closets. I visited this facility It was much better than I last remember. It used to be horrible. It smelled really bad now it's so clean and the staff is friendly. They take good care of the old people there. They look like they enjoy living there. I visited with my friend and she was going to see her mom.

I am a friend or relative of a resident My dad is in South Suburban Rehab Center. It is a very good facility. It is very warm and inviting. It is very secure. They are very personable and friendly. The dementia units are phenomenal. They are amazing. They manage a very challenging population, but they are very attentive. They are very good, very compassionate and caring. I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident Some great staff members, but most are useless. Never cavailable, meds not being dispensed on time or not at all, people screaming for help, awful food and not very clean. Always smells in the corridors and rooms are extremely dated. No joy or happiness exists in this place. No happy interactions. Very ugly and bare. Sadly, not the worst of nursing homes around, but needs serious improvements and kinder staff.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident South Suburban was not very clean, and my dad said they don’t take care of them. My dad was in urine in a diaper on the floor for I think 4 hours; he fell, and they didn’t pick him up. The residents lack patience and fight with each other, they just let them fight at it. My dad has been punched in the face. He was malnourished and dehydrated. It was just terrible.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident Stay far away from this facility. Not only is it filthy but the staff is incompetent and the director is clueless. My mother's meds were discontinued before her discharge. These were psych and pain meds. Why this was done I still don't know why. It caused her to go into a relapse when she was moved to a new facility. She said it was the worst experience of her life.

I am a friend or relative of resident My actual rating is zero stars. I am a friend of a resident here. He had his hip removed and needs to get rid of a MRSA infection he contracted at another hospital. Since he has been here he has only had one decent meal. I have had to come in and empty his urinals. I have to bathe him because nobody assists him. Today they came in his room and told him that they were going to put him out because he refused medication.
