The program itself was ok but when it came to financial services the employees were extremely rude. I graduated in 2018 and my last payment was suppose to be due on March of 2020, it is now May and they continue to charge me. I went ahead and called and all they would say was "We'll get back with you", mind you that was on the first extra charge. Honestly I'm frustrated because no one has been able to help me and I'm losing when my debt has already been paid off. I would not trust these people my bank information, rather m... read more

Hi Fatima, we are sorry to hear about this experience. It has been sent to the Campus Director and her team for review and resolution.
I recommend that the SCI school curriculum is MORE in depth. The instructors can do better by keeping the students on task and kicking them out of classes while being disrespectful/disruptive. The head of the school needs to put her foot down and stop giving people so many chances to repeat classes, what does that look like?? The board just keeps letting these students walk all over THEM, AND THE TEACHERS THAT HAVE TRIED TO TEACH THEM ONCE/TWICE/THIRD BEFORE. Also, STOP Giving students that don’t care at all about their educ... read more
Definetly recommend SCI- South Campus. The staff is very helpful and welcoming, along with the instructors they are awesome. Having a great experience and can’t wait until graduation.

Thank you so much for your kind words, Gloria. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us. Southern Careers Institute - South San Antonio
This school claims to offer lifetime placement assistance, yet they do nothing to help their past students attain their certification, that was not offered in the past!!! Every MA that graduated with my class in 2010 was not given the opportunity to take their state licensing exam because it was not offered by the school, nor were we given resources on how or where it could be taken. We were told “most jobs don’t require certification, so it’s not actually necessary”. Well here we are at the end of 2019 and we cannot get hir... read more
I’d like to hear what happens after you “graduate” as a medical assistant because they promised a lot of things now I’m second guessing it......
Business response:
Kevin are you in Corpus Christi or San Antonio?
I went to sci in 2015 and graduated but there were so many things that happened while I was there that made the experience less than favorable. I had a female teacher who told everyone how much she disliked me and thought I was conceited. Another female teacher told me not to smile so much because it was giving people the wrong idea. This was the begining of horrible rumors about me. They regularly went along with and encouraged these rumors simply because I'm confident, friendly, and out going. I was harassed by the male p... read more

Best of luck with your businesses."
The staff from the dean all the way down to the teachers are horrible. They don't care about the students. They let the students cheat. The curriculum is no where near up to standards. It's a big waste of time and money. Even the main office don't reach out to students when a problem arises with the teachers or dean. Very very poor performance. I will be contacting the Texas workforce commission and the COE and do everything I can do to get this garbage school discredited. Will not be paying anymore money to this non educate... read more
