He failed to get pre-authorization from my insurance company and that claim for over $5000.00 got rejected by my insurance company. He also installed an implant and crown that shortly became lose and he failed to do anything about it. He failed to transfer our dental records until I got the state dental inspector on that case and forced him to do so. I went to see Dr. Steven Haywood to get a small gap in my teeth bonded for my wedding. He said he had the perfect solution: porcelain veneers. I didn't know much about veneers, but he was very convincing and said it would solve my gap for good, it was what all the movie stars were doing, etc. There were several complications such as, they were not ready for my wedding. I would give Dentist & his staff a NEGATIVE Star. I called to make an appt I was told they did take my insurance.When I got there they told they didn't & it didn't really matter as dental insurance doesn't pay much. A Panoramic X-Ray was $147.-I called around & cost is 95.He is PULL & MONEY HAPPY & wants 4500 for (1) implant. Found a Great Dentist to save my tooth.1 root Canal w/ Crown & 2 implants w/cat scan & insurance 2900. This jerk wants 35. to e-mail my x-ray to new dentist.
I went for the Invisiline Groupon. He does NOT except insurance so he can charge you what he wants! On several occasions I ended up having to wait between 18-38 minutes for Haywood who at one time had already left for lunch! Staff does not tell you fees upfront so you have to ask. Unless he's in the chair talking to you, prepare to be ignored! I actually had to resort to being a nuisance and wave my hand in his face for his attention. He simply replied he's a busy man. READ ALL PAPERWORK!!
