Dr. Schmidt is the most knowledgeable,sensible, conservative, innovative, an d effective veteranarian around. She has helped me to keep five generations of Airedales happy, healthy, and long-lived. As neighbors, we have shared the same trails to train and enjoy our mushing teams. She even made house calls, and her rec room was the neighborhood first aid station. Southside Animal Hospital's Doctor's are very compassionate and listen. Two assets that are essentials besides being experienced! We thank them very much for taking care of our cats and dog from the moment of the first visit to their continuing wellness, illnesses to the ultimate end. Thank you to the staff for being accommodating about appointments, their cheerfulness and compassion.

SSAH (which is what they are on my phone) is the BEST vet I've ever brought my loved one to. I've had pets for 30 years and really, they are tops. I've had to put three of my darlings down at SSAH, and never have I felt compassion, sympathy, and really LOVE in my time of sorrow. They let me stay as long as I needed to. I even left a blanket behind and forgot all about it until six months later. They didn't know whose it was, but they packaged it up and SAVED it. I was able to retrieve it six months later. Dr Schmidt and Southside Wellness have been caring for my dogs for at least 30 years. Their entire crew is highly professional and completely compassionate. Dr Schmidt has provided routine care through several long lives, and when faced with dilemma, she does the research to take ultimate care of my much loved dogs. From the first puppy check to the final good bye, they give the greatest care. Thank you Southside!

We have been taking our pets here for many years. Dr. Schmidt is the best. My one complaint was with the previous front desk staff - but they have changed them and now they are super! They worked really hard to get our dog in for an emergency visit - even calling us back when an earlier slot opened up. I will continue to bring our pets here as long as they are around!

Dr. Schmidt and Dr. Ecklund have my complete trust with my fur children. The Doctors and staff have always been there for them with the highest quality of care and love. Ferret vets are hard to find and there are two at Southside. A few years ago there was a symposium dedicated to Vets continuing education in ferret care. I was heartened to see our vets there learning even more about the animals we entrust to them. Thank you for your dedication.

We have been going to Southside Animal Hospital and Wellness for over 20 years now. We have always been very impressed by both the doctors and staff. You simply cannot find a better place for your pets health and care. Recently, our fur ball buddy Lexi contracted an auto immune condition where her red blood cells were being attacked and her health was deteriorating quickly.
