Southwest Pediatrics was formed in 2001 by Drs. Jolet, Patil and Rimer. Dr. Wagner joined us in 2011, Dr. Chapa joined us in 2015, and Dr. White in 2018. Dr. Shela Gu is THE BEST. I have jumped through hoops (when we had insurance issues at one point) to make sure we could keep seeing her. She always has a smile on her face, her bedside manner is impeccable, and you can tell she loves her job. We love her. Our son is always excited to see her.
Dr.Wagner is wonderful and engaging. We have seen him for several years. He has excellent communication skill with my sons and takes the time to discuss and answer questions. My reason for 2 stars is the following up with the lab technician and sending off samples to the lab. It wasn’t sent off for several days after our visit to the office. This lead into a longer wait due to the upcoming weekend. It was clear that there is lack of communication between departments.
Dr.Gu is an amazing doctor!! So sweet and knowledgeable. I unfortunately had to move recently and I am seriously debating whether to fly back and forth for my daughter’s because she has set the standard. After going to her the bar is High for pediatric care. She answered all of my first time mother questions with no judgement and with kind responses. She provided gentle care and made us feel comfortable and never rushed during appointments. I wish we could have her from 0 to 17 yrs old. The office staff could use improvement... read more
This review is only about the billing and prices. The sick visit price went from 79 for our insurance to 120 without any announcement. It was explained that it’s because of the insurance but my son had the same insurance for the whole year. When asked about it they explained it it’s a policy change and not the price change even though they all of a sudden are changing 50% more for the same service. We love Dr. Jolet! We have been with her for almost 20 years and it was the best decision we ever made for both our girls. The entire office is friendly and takes that time to get to know your family.
