First time experiencing the theater today. We had a great time, food was great, atmosphere, chairs and staff were awesome. Definitely going back
Our first visit back to the old IPIC (now called Star Cinema Grill). I am so happy to say the essence of IPIC is still present here which is awesome! The big change has to do with renovation as the entire Bolingbrook location has been fully renovated to match the Star Cinema Grill ownership. The screens are great, all fixed, great sound, etc. The food is also fantastic :)! Just a great theater overall. Comfortable. Great sound system
When it was iPic, it was FANTASTIC. But now, it's a shell of its former self. FAR less perks and more expensive. I spent $100 for four tickets. The food isn't as good as it used to be, the service (as mentioned by others) is atrocious! They are clearly trying to cut costs, but it's at a severe detriment to the customer. One of the worst experiences I've had going to the movies in a long while I did not receive my food until the end of the movie they did not bring out the drinks nor the popcorn that I ordered. I had a party 14 people and they mixed up everybody's order, and when I went to make sure that certain items that we did not receive was not on the bill, the manager and the security that they claimed was privately owned were very rude I will not recommend this place to anyone.
First time doing a place like this. Hit the button...20 mins later (mind you we are the only ones in the theater at this time so it's not like we're waiting for others to order) they take our order of an app, popcorn and drinks. Half an hour into the movie the popcorn/drinks finally come. Popcorn was unlimited so we hit the button for more. It takes 30 minutes for someone to come and ask us what we needed. Love this place….but hate the service. We asked for our food and drinks after a 45 minute wait (server said “it’s coming). Nope. In all, waited over an hour only to be told by management that the ticket had never been put in. Missed a good chunk of the movie. They comped our food, BUT expect much better…especially when you pay more for “the pods”.
Spinach and artichoke dip horrible bland salt didn't help. SW egg rolls don't bother buying either .
