First, I love Bru and Union 50. Those are two of my favorite places. However, this concept seemed over priced. The food didn't quite measure up either. I felt the same for Mesh, which could be considered the big bother (or little brother) to this restaurant. The menu items we had; the salmon and the chicken dishes, just didn't work. (For example: My bacon wasn't crisp and seemed an odd addition to the salmon. If it had been crisper and worked int the slaw or sauce I think it would have worked much better. We underestimate how good the food is here over and over again. The food was outstanding and they were very accommodative to my kids' requests for changes to the dishes to make grown up entrees more kid friendly.
The food was delicious and the staff was friendly.
Overall, my group thought that our dining experience was very good. We were able to visit with our brother/dad/grandpa, before we ordered. Others at the table mentioned that their food was very good. My broiled seafood platter was not quite as generous as I would have liked - especially the lump crab cake...very small. Maybe I should skip the fish and try the prime rib the next time.
Food is always great! Love Stonecreek and we will be back!
