Whenever I eat at a place like Stone Creek that has a pricier menu, I feel that I'm sometimes taking a gamble. I live in Downtown Indianapolis where a $15 plate can equal three small pieces of bacon artistically drizzled with some fancy sauce. We went early so there wasn't a crowd. Service was friendly and good. Had the calamari for an appetizer and it was really good. Not chewy at all. Very tender. Sauce was good and the raspberry vinaigrette on the salad on the side was good. Bread with the oil dip were very good as well. Main course I had the blackened Mahi Mahi which was very good. We selected Stone Creek for dinner to celebrate an anniversary. We wanted a restaurant offering variety and something nicer than typical casual dining fare, but didn't want to drive downtown for some of the more upscale restaurants.
