We had a really nice dinner. Good service by Brittany and the food (sea bass and prime rib) were terrific. The seven field salad is a real treat too.
The Greenwood area is void of the abundance of eateries you find downtown or in the Carmel/Fishers area but when we get it right we get it right. Folks are very discerning of the food served and we expect good service for a good price. Stone Creek delivers on both of these fronts. this place is quickly becoming my wife and my favorite place. the food is always perfect and the service is awesome. The overall pricing is great for what you get. I strongly recommend this place.
I have found that Valentine's Day is a day when the service is usually rushed, the food poorly prepared and reserved seating is always late. Stone Creek exceeded my expectations on all three counts! We received outstanding service and the was food expertly prepared and nicely presented.
My meal overall was very good. I was not impressed with the mahi mahi. I tasted more of the Mexican topping than the actual fish. It was overly salty as well. The sauteed shrimp was scrumptious, mixed veggies were cooked well, the baked potato was decent & the bread & oil were outstanding. Our server was wonderful & the wine was delicious (small amount in a big glass though).
Starting with the appetizers ( try the Spicy Garlic Shrimp ! ) the whole dining experience at Stone Creek is top notch. The waiters are knowledgeable and attentive, the timing on the courses is spot on, and the quality is as good as we have found anywhere. You will not be disappointed !!
This was a last min decision for all the other places I wanted to take my wife were already booked two weeks out and I must say that I'm glad that they were. The food was amazing and for the price was excellent. The menu has a lot of variety as well. Love the arrangement of the restaurant. Had a nice cozy feel to it. Definitely will be going back.
My wife and I are regulars at Stone Creek Dining Company in Greenwood. We arrived 10 minutes prior to our 7:00 reservation and was seated promptly within 5 minutes. The hostess led us down into the basement and sat us at a tiny round table in a high traffic area. We didnt say anything thinking that this was our favorite servers section whom we had requested. I wasn't sure what to expect because driving down SR 135, the place always looks dead. I didn't realize the entrance was in the rear :). The atmosphere & service was good. My husband & I like to try a new 'fine dining' restaurant every special holiday. I wouldn't say the steak was as tender or good as you would find at St Elmo's or Morton's but the cost is also half of what you'd pay at one of those places. The filet was good though.
