We were here during Devour Indy and I have never seen the restaurant completely full so early in the evening. Stone Creek consistently provides quality food. The entree I chose, the pasta on the special Devour menu, was not something that I would order again. Too many ingredients that each overshadowed the other. Sometimes simple is better. The bread pudding was excellent!
I ordered the seafood broil, the Mahi Mahi was over cooked, the shrimp was over cooked, like rubber. Vegatables were under cooked, very tough. We were seated at a table for two just in front of the reception area, it was cold as the door opened, foot traffic was constant, guest, waiters and waitresses. Atmosphere was very noisy and way too busy. Very hard to have a personal conversation.
We eat at Stone Creek often. Have never been dissapointed. Any small glitches that have occurred (in the last 8 ears or!) have need fixed immediately.
I have eaten at this location three times in the past 45 days. The food and service are usually good, but if you want to order alcoholic beverages there are big issues. The first time this happened I wrote it off as a busy night. The next visit was for my mother's birthday and we ordered two bottles of wine on the server's first approach to the table. very busy location on a Saturday night but they were very efficient. Reservations helped with Open Table. The setting is semi-formal and cozy. The food was prepared per ordering instructions and tasted great! The server checked on us periodically and was very attentive without being intrusive.
