This was our third visit to Stone Creek. I have always made reservations via Open Table. We arrived about 15 minutes early on this visit. It was a busy evening but the hostess checked us in and said our table would be ready soon. We sat down to wait next to the hostess stand. About 5 minutes after we arrived another group of 4 with reservations at the same time arrived. No big deal until the hostess seated them ahead of us. The food is excellent! The atmosphere is fancy yet relaxed. Excellent service & about $20 a person.
Although we love Stonecreek it seems that every time we make reservations we get stuck sitting right in the busy, noisy walkway of the restaurant near the kitchen and server area. I made reservations well in advance because we were celebrating Valentine's day early with friends and again we got stuck at that table. I requested that we be moved because we couldn't even hear to have a conversation and I was told that we would have to go back on the waiting list to be moved to another table. Our reservation requests were not honored. (seating in the bar or 2nd floor) We were told you need to call the restaurant directly to have requests honor. We were seated in one spot then a server returned while we were looking at our menu & we were told we were seated in the wrong place & had to move. We did move but asked to see a manager. He made no accommodations for our concerns, basically just joked around.
My mother's birthday was February 11th, and she enjoyed the family's get together. The Stone Creek, Plainfield location has nice five star servers Katie, Chelsea,and Janet. So if you want the best go to Stone Creek location Plainfield Indiana USA.
