My husband steak and mine was very delicious as usual, but my daughters blackened chicken was very dry. She said she would not get it again. We were seated by the front door and every time it opened cold air flowed in and it was not very private.
Excellent. Will be back.
Stone Creek is always awesome, my favorite Plainfield eatery. It's free meal for veterans is much appreciated, too.
Our overall experience was excellent, with the exception of the young lady at the front desk. She almost ruined our experience. We had a reservation for 9:30 PM, four people, standard table requested in the reservation - not bar seating, celebrating a birthday. Well, the place was NOT busy @ 9:30 PM on a Friday night. Great staff, consistently good food. We were there for Veterans Day and visit often. Great early bird menu.
Today is Veterans Day and my husband is a Vietnam Vet. Many restaurants offer special deals, but Stone Creek was the best BY FAR! First, you can make reservations on a holiday/weekend night. Second, there was no “special menu,” as all entrees and even side dish upgrades were free for the veteran. And, although they were crazy busy, we got the exact booth I had requested. The food is good, the service is good, and even on this very busy night, all was very enjoyable!
We love Stone Creek. We had a great dinner until we hit the bar for a celebratory shot of Patron and were charged $14 per shot with no warning whatsoever! $14 for a shot of tequila is insane. I've never, ever, paid that much money for a basic drink. It would have been nice to get a fair "heads up" from the bartender that we were about to pay more for 2 shots of a basic drink than we paid for my meal alone! That's $32 with the tax. Insanity I tell ya!
