In my opinion the best automotive shop in San Diego. Master mechanics fix your car quickly and with quality parts. The only automotive repair shop in San Diego I trust and continuously returning to with not only my car but my wife's car as well.
They are insanely expensive on everything, they suggest you have work done when they can't even guarantee that it will help the problem, and they quote cheaper prices than they will actually charge you. Believe me there are plenty of good quality auto shops in town that won't charge you an arm and a leg, so don't be fooled by this place.

We DO NOT deserve a one star rating for this. Justin came in our shop asking for a roundabout quote on a repair for his vehicle, but declined to have us diagnose the problem. Where we failed, we tried to help and gave him possible remedies to his issues just based on what he told us. When asked if the repairs would fix the problem, really, we could only say "we are not sure if its the problem because we didn't diagnose the issue, so were not sure if it will fix it but its just an educated guess". I'm on my wife's account but I took my Subaru WrX with STi motor swap to get smogged here at Allied Gardens Auto. They were very helpful and quick, I will definitely use this shop In the future.
I've received a message from Matt the owner who explained things to me and has apologized (I did not deal with Matt during my initial visit, I dealt with a different service adviser who is no longer with Allied). He offered a refund (which I declined) and has addressed my concerns expeditiously and without any hassle or push back and has ordered a new glove box to replace the one that is currently broken. Thank you.

Here is my experience with Allied Garden Automotive: I initially took my car here for a smog check and things went very smoothly and the customer service was top notch. A month later I brought my car back for a fluid and filter change on the transmission. I used those exact words when I requested the service and was given a time to drop the car off. Look people, I have finally found an honest mechanic that does NOT rip you off. Matt and his crew gave excellent service to me and my truck. And, it did not cost a ton of $ either. I will only bring my vehicles here from now on. I'm very pleased with allied gardens automotive and would highly recommend this to anyone with vehicle problems.
Once again Matt & company saved me a bundle. Had error message on my 2007 Ridgeline. The dealer wanted to charge me $105 to diagnose my "check engine" light. Matt recommend I buy a new gas cap. His philosophy was to start with the cheapest option and see if that would fix the problem. If not, then start the diagnostics. I am happy to report that, with the purchase of a $30 gas cap, my "check engine" light is off and my little Honda is running like a champ. Thank you, Allied Gardens Automotive.

Definitely would recommend. Went there for the first time last week, I live in the area and stopped in to have some work done on my 2005 Pathfinder. Matt is very thorough and explained everything to me. Matt and Michelle are from the area and it feels great to support a local business. You can tell they really care about their customers and providing the best service. I'll be back the next time I need repairs and will recommend my friends and family!
I have never had an issue with this place. Everyone is professional and trusting. They treat you as if you have a brain and explain everything they are doing. I highly recommend this place and I have recommended it to other people and have never heard any complaints.
