The absolute best assisted living facility in Northern Connecticut. The residents get excellent care, the meals are top notch offering meals from 7am-7pm, and the staff get 10 stars. My husband and I are thrilled to have decided to choose them to care for his father. You can't get any better than Suffield by the River! I work for an area homecare agency and I have visited residents here several times. I am impressed with the cleanliness of the whole community as well as the friendliness of the staff. Whenever I am talking to my clients, they always say they are happy and really enjoy living at Suffield by the River.
This place is a great place for any family member to live. My mom lives here and she loves it. She has so many friends and the staff is so friendly. I love going to visit her and seeing her so happy and well taken care of. I would highly recommend this place.

We were saddened when our family member was diagnosed with dementia and needed more specialized care than we could give her at home. The staff at Suffield by the River and Reflections memory care made the transition much easier for us. My father has spent the last 4 months in the memory care unit, Reflections, at Suffield by the River and I couldn't be happier with the care he has received. He has advanced dementia and was quite difficult, but I was always amazed by how effectively the staff redirected and distracted him when he would act out.
