RecommendedSunBadger's staff just seemed to have a better understanding of local incentives, perceptions about solar, and all around technical knowledge than other companies that I worked with for quotes. I got a lot of personal attention from senior staff to design and refine the right system for me, my house, and it's quirky shade patterns. I also thoroughly enjoyed working with their preferred installation company, Current Electric.
They were easy to work with, quick to respond to any questions or concerns, and kept us in the loop through each step. I was a bit hesitant to go with solar in the Chicago area, especially right before winter, but our system is performing well and we're already saving money, even in January! We're very happy with our system and would highly recommend Sun Badger.
They were super friendly and great communicators throughout the process. We knew what to expect all along the way and they always answered all of our questions. The system looks great and is working well, all we need now is some sunshine!

I was wrongfully fired 8.23.22 today because I asked If I can help speed up our install timelines...my customers have been waiting Over 9 - 10 monthes for their installs. Owners Lie to us Reps whom Lie to customers! I'm a father of 4 children... I'm owed over 200k in commissions because Sunbadger won't or can't hire more people because they refuse to pay their employees what they are worth. They Lie, Cheat. And steal from their own people! As far as the installation and panels themselves are concerned, we have no issues and are pretty happy with everything. The install team was courteous, did good work, and everything went well. However, the management of the project was not good. The main frustration that we have was the constant feeling that the company did not want to be accountable for things and preferred to say that it was ours or someone else’s (the city’s) fault. We have mixed feelings about our experience with Sun Badger Solar. In short, the equipment itself is great and the sales and installation teams were outstanding. However, a simple miscalculation on Sun Badger’s part, and refusal to own up to the mistake from upper level leadership, including the president, Trevor Sumner, really soured our experience, so unfortunately we cannot recommend Sun Badger. It's really unfortunate that I was fooled by Sun Badger's very personable presentation. One of the biggest selling points they sold us on was that they monitor all of their customers solar production and if anything were to ever go wrong they would know about it right away. This unfortunately is a massive lie. I lost complete power from my panels less than two years into having solar. This power loss happened on May 3rd of 2020.
