I think it is the environmentally responsible thing to do to add renewable energy sources, however, I would like to do it in a financially responsible way. I made it clear to my sales person that the 10+ year payback was difficult for me because I am not confident I can run the farm (where I live) that long. Cindy, We do our best to calculate returns based on specific utility net metering. Your system is far from our first on that utility. Energy production AND your homes usage can fluctuate from year to year. To say your ROI is an additional year out is complete speculation on your part, having not even seen half a years production, let alone 5+ years. Sunbadger's pricing was competitive and sales personnel competent. Their field workers were proficient and conciencious (though this is not their accomplishment as they subcontract actual work to other companies, specifically to Rethink electric in my case). However, overall performance desires significant improvement. It took over 3 months from the time the final design of the system was agreed to by me until actual installation and another month for activation and hook up to the grid.
