Went to Colonial Williamsburg area in Virginia for a week in mid May. Stayed at the Historic Powhatan Resort which has wonderful grounds, nice amenities, and our unit was spacious with two bedrooms, two baths, and a nice sized living area. With all of the things to do and see in Jamestown, Yorktown and other cities, we could have stayed longer.
Our accommodations were great, but our parking place was too small for our rental car. We had to seek a alternate space every evening. This is the second year in a row that we had this situation. We had a larger space last year, but they changed it when we arrived and it was the same this year.
the v.i.p home was beautiful, spacious, clean and equipped with towels, dish soap and even some toiletries. it was almost like being in a hotel. the beds were so comfortable. cant wait to book it again.
The location is great as far as distance between all of the activities you can get into. However, the room itself, the Wi-Fi was down the entire time and the couch smelled life mildew. Which was very unpleasant. The pool was closed until the last day of being there. The setup of the condo is very nice. I really like the concept. However, I would like to see if there are other places on Sundance Vacations that's better than Raffles in Ocean City, Maryland.
Everything was very nice, but i didn’t appreciate not having housekeeping!
Silver Shells was spectacular except for 1 thing. The powder room was unusable. We had a maintenance man look into it but he couldn't figure where the odor was coming from either, it was like a sewage smell. We kept the door closed with the exhaust fan on for 5 days. It was unnoticeable the first 2 days. There were no leaks and both the sink & toilet had proper traps but there were existing water stains on the bottom of the sinks vanity. It might of been mold.
People were very personable. I would have purchased a package if it fit into my budget, but as a single parent I could not afford it. Sounds like a great idea though.
The unit we had, #1409, is in an ideal location. Direct ocean front in living room and master bedroom. The 3 bedrooms are ample in size and each has its own full bathroom which makes it ever so convenient for 6 adults. Would also be great for families, too. The furniture in the unit is dated, but unfortunately when you have so many different people using the same unit, it’s difficult to maintain the furnishings in pristine condition. The Villas at Seven Dwarfs was more than we could have hoped for. The property was pristine and there was so much to do there. Wish we had more time. So happy with our trip! The unit was very clean and there were plenty of extras to make us comfortable. Highly recommend this property.
