I would totally recommend Dr Monica, she is the calmest and most efficient one there, aside from the hygienist whom I only met yesterday. Sheila the office manager means well, but tends to create a bit of chaos with her approach amongst the staff and patients. In her attempt to get patients and care moving, often time patients feels rushed and confused.
I was there Friday 10/30/20 for a crown insert and routine cleaning. Immediately after the crown insert, I was to have a set of xrays done by the dentist assistant to confirm placement. Shiela came in the middle of set up, asked the assistant to stop and ask me to get into the hygienist chair for cleaning. She confirmed the hygienist would do the xrays however never advised her.
The hygienist was AMAZING! she explained thoroughly while cleaning and made some great recommendations. She was not aware she was taking my xrays afterward as she had appts
back to back. Nevertheless, she was kind enough to take them. In the middle of taking the xrays someone from the front desk abruptly came in to tell her, Sheila is asking what is taking her so long? she had to explained why? That is unprofessional, I was annoyed at that point.
As a professional in the healthcare field,
Precisely as a Registered Nurse, great client care can’t be rendered in the fashion. Patients notice and hear everything. Service rendered cannot feel
rushed then there’s doubt.
Sheila should take a step back, be humble and calm. Furthermore allowing her calm approach to set the stage for the office.
I understand Sheila is Dr. Monica’s Mother and manager and wants the best for daughter and her practice, but her abruptness and demeanor can harm clientele.
