About a year ago we began our journey to find a place for my mom. When we walked into Sunset Park Place, we were greeted by Shelly almost immediately. As soon as she started to speak, I knew we had found home. Mom has lived in one of the assisted living apartments for nearly a year, and we couldn’t feel more secure about the care she receives. Sunset Park Place has provided a safe, caring and homelike environment for my Aunt. She moved in before Christmas and the staff and other residents welcomed her and helped her quickly acclimate. Her apartment is beautiful and she reports that the food is delicious! She is also enjoying the activities provided—BINGO, rosary, exercise class and card playing just to name a few. Knowing that she is safe and happy is very important to our family—thank you so much for everything!!!
Our mom has been at Sunset Park Place for several years. She has received amazing love and care from the staff and administrators! The staff and administrators see the residents as family and it is quite obvious! There are many activities both in and outside of the facility based on a resident's abilities and mobility. Residents who want to stay busy inside the facility can participate in crafts, games, movie nights, music events, special meals, exercise classes, and lots more. I had a server who went BEYOND his way to give me an amazing time here. He was telling me how he just got a retwist on his dreads, one of his favorite styles of hair he had ever done. Good server overall!
My parents and myself appreciate the level of care and concern received by all at Sunset Park. The small community is like a family looking out for each other with plenty to do to keep them occupied. Which gives my family peace of mind that our parents are in good hands.
