I get very anxious taking my dog to the vet. Partly because of the unknown cost and also I'm afraid of getting bad news. I put this vet visit off for 4 months. My friend recommended Value Pet clinic and it was such a great experience even with the bad news I was given. My dog needs to see a specialist and I almost lost it and went out to my car. Working in a low cost clinic myself, I knew what to expect walking in the door. Value Pet definately exceeded my standards. Check in was very quick and the staff was very profesional. They allowed me to hold my parakeet for his nail trim, no questions asked. They did a very good job on his nails despite him being a wiggly jerk. The technician doing his nails also explained in depth to another assistant how to do bird nails, which was great to see they care about the education of their staff. They saved my cats life. I brought him to many different veterinarians and they did not know what was wrong with him. The veterinarians at value pet clinic figured out how to cure him. They let me drop him off in the morning and pick him up in the evening for three days. They are awesome!
I just want to say this place saved my kitten's life. Emergency vet on Durango wanted me to sign a form I would pay $1400. Value Pet Clinic was open on a Saturday and saw my kitten and pinpointed the problems, gave meds and tons of care and affection. This is so important when your pet is ill. You may have to wait, but not NEAR what you will at the emergency clinic and the price is reasonable. Highly recommend!
I love this place! Granted it's a walk in clinic, but come on it says value. So you most likely won't get the services that you'd normally expect at a private vet or a place you make appointments. So complaining about wait time is pretty much a mute point, it's like you're trying to find something wrong. I have taken multiple dogs to this vet and the vaccines definitely are more affordable. I have gotten two of my dogs fixed at this vet too and what I love is they do it in one day so you can have your pet back that evening. ... read more
This place is great! As expected for a walk-in only clinic, the wait time can sometimes be long but they are very fair and keep you informed when you have to wait. The entire staff was very compassionate when I had to euthanize my kitty, and they offered me time in the exam room beforehand to say goodbye. I have brought my dog in here multiple times (mostly just for flea medication) so I cannot speak on major vet visits. However, each time I have gone in I felt that I had good service and that my dog was looked at thoroughly. If you are just looking to get vaccines, or flea meds, etc..then I say come here. They are pretty average wait times and are usually busy but still prompt. Any time I have random pet owner questions, the vet techs are more then happy to answer and give advice. I was nervous bringing my 8 week Chesapeake Bay Retreiver after reading all these negative reviews, but I gave it a shot anyway because I didn't have time to wait for an appointment somewhere else. I was very well received! I showed up right at 9:00 and was seen taken to a waiting room within five minutes. Slow service. The vet and her helpers are friendly and helpful but maybe should consider a new receptionist. Also maybe less talking about the business and more working would speed things along. We will see how the X-ray goes to see if the services help. I do update my reviews!
