DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE IN AN EMERGENCY NEEDING CPR OR RESUSCITATION!! Last week my teacup yorkie went into shock and became unresponsive but her heart was still beating. I got stuck at the light on golf course right by the speedway gas station & that’s when her heart stopped. Let me start with how much we loved Dr Dana...wonderful vet but the front desk staff is vile and rude. Val was rude and condescending to my daughter and made her cry so I called to ask to talk to Dr Dana. Val refused to give the message unless I told why so I said I have a complaint. She still would not give the message. I told her it was none of her business and give him the message. my mom took her beloved Blankita there multiple times for her behavior acting strange. she took her there yesterday. again, they completely misdiagnosed her! kept insisting it was a grooming issue and a joint problem. Well it was a neuro problem just like all of us non-vet trained people thought! she had a massive seizure this morning and died! she went to you for your expertise and you blew her off! you probably said she was a paranoid owner! shame on you. Refund all her charges for your misdiagnosed grooming problem!
I always loved how Dr Dana got down on the floor, getting down to my dog’s level. But then came the first of 2 (IMO) misdiagnoses. I took my dog in because I thought he had a seizure. Naturally, by the time we got to the vet’s, he was fine. After describing what had happened, Dr Dana said that it was a pinched nerve and prescribed anti-inflammatory medication. The search continues. I was looking for a new vet after past experiences with Banfield (Petsmart). I was told the visit would be $56 and included the primary cause of the visit. The doctor swabbed my dogs ear to evaluate under a microscope- less than 5 minutes and returned with meds. The "testing" was $42 and the bill total went from $56 to over $225. No one told us until checkout. And since the tech opened and used the medications- to "demostrate" we didn't have the option to buy them somewhere else, possibly less expensive... read more
