I wish I remembered our server’s name. However, she was amazing and on top of everything. First, we made a reservation for 1 PM but we were going to be late due to traffic. We decided to call and let them know, and they were able to move our time to 1:30. Upon arrival at 1:15 PM, we were seated immediately. We will be back again soon and will figure out her name so we can have her again.
We arrived at 10:00 PM. The service was okay, but definitely needs improvement. I ordered the steak and eggs, and the first thing I noticed was that all the food was cold—how is that possible if it was just made? The steak was cold and incredibly tough; I couldn’t even chew it. Even though I had med rare . The bacon was also cold, and my friend’s French toast came out cold too. Food was great and Frank, who served us, was amazingggg. Frank has great service etiquette, is very attentive and observant! Loved my time here.
The place is a good all day breakfast and has a good variety of fish, crab cakes and other meat varieties. The ambience is nice for an dinner or lunch. The bar tender also makes some great drinks. The dishes with egg Benedict and deviled eggs are great. Should have a deviled eggs but only downside is they lack some ham.
Several years ago, I visited the Capitol Hill location. Kind of a sketchy area (in my opinion). So this time I opted for the Ballston location. Much better area. Restaurant was super busy but we had reservations in advance so we didn't have to wait. Service was not good in all honesty.
