A spur of the moment choice, and we were very pleased.
From Pittsburgh but in Atlanta for a special event (not at the restaurant). My Atlanta host brought me to Terra Terroir to show off an outstanding dining experience in Atlanta. I was NOT disappointed. There is nothing like Terra Terroir in Pittsburgh. I want to come back and have the exact meal all over again!
We were there on a week night with my octogenarian parents. Menu is pretty standard new american and pretty well executed. Service was a bit distracted and not helped by the fact that server had tables in very different parts of the restaurant. Wine list is commendable and thoughtful. However, inventory of each label is not huge, so if you anticipate wanting more than one bottle of the same wine, ask when you make your selection to confirm they have multiples available.
it was a Saturday evening, 8pm booking - and they were badly backed up in the kitchen. From sitting down to getting our entree was over an hour and a half. While they comped us our drinks, the wait got out of hand. The food, when it arrived, was decent, not outstanding. Overall, probably enough to put us off going again in the evening, although lunchtimes may be better.
As always... excellent food, service and ambiance.
Don't be deterred by the strip mall location. The plants and lights make this garden patio setting an absolutely magical place to have dinner. I postponed trying Terra for years, and after Saturday's amazing dinner, I regret all those missed opportunities. I will definitely return.
Always great food, service and ambience. Especially love the patio, which is the best outdoor seating in Atlanta, .. and how the bar opens onto it.
Nice low key recognition of my birthday.
The evening at Terra Terroir is always a treat! We were greeted nicely. The waiter was attentive but not intrusive. Each of us received a huge portion of salmon. We agreed the dish was absolutely delicious. The special caprice salad was a perfect pairing for me; others enjoyed soup and the house salad.
